Dawn Staley is a former professional basketball player & Recently head coach of the women's basketball team at the University of South Carolina. She's also a three- time Olympic gold semifinalist and was instated into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013. Staley began her professional career in 1999 and played in the WNBA for several brigades, including the Charlotte Sting and the Houston Comets. She was also a member of the US women's basketball platoon that won three successive gold orders at the Olympics in 1996, 2000, and 2004. After retiring from playing, Staley began guiding and has been the head trainer of the University of South Carolina women's basketball platoon since 2008. Under her leadership, the platoon has won multiple SEC crowns and a public crown in 2017.
